Once your electric vehicle or home charging station is connected during the WeaveGrid registration process and you've successfully enrolled in Indiana Michigan Power’s Charge Sync Plus option, your charging will be optimally scheduled each time you plug in at your home address, based on your settings.
Visit your [WeaveGrid dashboard | Link to Dashboard] to customize your Automatic Smart Charging settings by clicking on the cog next to “Automatic charge status”. From there, you can set your Departure time for each day of the week, view your target battery level, and enable additional optional advanced features (e.g. [Low Battery Protection | Link to FAQ] or [Peak Avoidance | Link to FAQ]).
WeaveGrid considers these factors in this order when determining your smart charging times:
- Get your car charged to your target battery level by the time you need it, respecting any advanced features you’ve enabled
- Charge from 11 p.m. – 6 a.m. to receive monthly credit
- Charge when electric grid stress is lowest
If you ever need to charge immediately, you can always override the charge schedule generated by WeaveGrid directly on your charger or vehicle, or through their dedicated apps. You can also reply “CHARGE NOW” to 59972 to start charging immediately. Keep in mind that if you override your charge schedule more than two times a month, you won’t receive a bill credit for that month.
You'll receive notifications about your upcoming schedules through your preferred method (web and/or SMS texts). You can choose to keep the scheduled SMS notifications or you can update your settings text message settings in the dashboard.
